activities fair

WHAT: Come visit the Opus booth at the Activities Fair to learn more about Opus and talk to some members!

WHEN: Friday, 9/8 @ 12-3pm

WHERE: Dillon Gym

chamber reading open house

WHAT: Drop by with (or without, if you just want to chat!) your instrument for a fun session of chamber music reading! This will be super relaxed — it’s just so you can get to know Opus members and make some noise while doing it :)

WHEN: Tuesday, 9/12 @ 7-9pm

WHERE: Woolworth 102

round one: solo audition (blind auditions)

WHAT: Each candidate will perform 3-5 minutes of unaccompanied repertoire from any era. You are allowed to use your own music. If you would like to audition for Opus on two instruments, please select two different audition times! :)

WHEN: Saturday, 9/16 and Sunday, 9/17 @ 1-6pm

WHERE: Woolworth 106

round two: ensemble audition

WHAT: Candidates will be given an excerpt to prepare from a selected chamber music piece. Each candidate will run through and then rehearse the excerpt with current Opus members. Following some rehearsal, the group will run the excerpt again.

WHEN: Saturday, 9/23 and Sunday, 9/24 @ 1-6pm
